Cassie Schoenthal

Cassie Schoenthal is a Ph. D. candidate in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2010 from Texas A&M University in Entomology and a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural & Environmental Science from Tarleton State University in 2012. Currently, Cassie is surveying insect activity in Texas confined white-tailed deer operations, isolating epizootic hemorrhagic disease and bluetongue viruses in biting midge populations, and measuring insect development requirements in an effort to improve insect pest management recommendations for Texas deer producers.
