Chris Keefer is currently a research entomologist with the Center for Urban and Structural Entomology at Texas A&M University. He is involved with several research projects. These projects include the testing of new cockroach baits, efficacy of new termiticide chemistry, effects of non-repellent termiticides on termites, and new termite treatment procedures. He is also a co-instructor of the Texas A&M University “Philip J. Hamman Termite Control Training School.”

He received his B.S. Degree from Texas A&M University in Entomology, and his Master of Science Degree in May 2010. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Entomology. He is a Board Certified Entomologist in Structural and Industrial entomology through the Entomological Society of America. Chris holds a Certified Applicator’s license through the Texas Structural Pest Control Board and is licensed in General Pest control, Termite control, Lawn and Ornamental control, and Structural Fumigation. He worked as a pest control operator in Bryan/College Station for ten years servicing residential and commercial accounts. His duties also included the classroom and field training of new employees.

Chris has lived in Bryan/College Station for 30 years. He has two children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
